You really can't do justice to the richly diverse sport of kayaking in a mere 3 hours, but a busy schedule shouldn't keep you from enjoying the pleasures of kayaking! We'll cover basic paddling strokes and capsize recovery techniques while focusing on kayaking safety.
This class will qualify you to rent decked (closed cockpit) kayaks from us and give you a solid foundation for all your kayaking activities! You'll also get a coupon good for a free hour kayak rental so you can practice what you learn at your convenience. As always, use of our kayaks is included in the price of the class.
Our instructors are highly certified by both the American Canoe Association and the British Canoe Union so you can be sure you'll get started right. Learning the correct techniques from the beginning will mean more enjoyment, less chance of injury, and lots of fun!
