We'll catch a ride with our kayaks to Catalina on a power boat, then spend 4 days circumnavigating the island. We'll experience every facet of the island from the rugged, wild beauty of Catalina's West End, to the glitz of Avalon. Truely a great way to "do" Catalina! We'll paddle 10-15 miles a day with one day off for hiking or other exploration. Particiapnts should have open ocean experience and at least 4 trips on the ocean of over 10 miles. The cost of your trip includes round trip transportation for you and your kayak to Catalina Island from Aqua Adventures, one night accomodation aboard the boat, and 3 nights camping fees. Dinner Thursday night and breakfast Friday morning on the boat are included. All other meals are participants responsibility.
Please note, this trip starts Thursday evening!! Thursday 5:00 p.m.: We meet at Aqua Adventures, load our kayaks onto the Dive Bliss and motor to Catalina. We'll spend that night on the boat. Friday: We'll get an early start on our journey Friday morning and camping at Parson's Landing. Saturday: We'll paddle around the wild West End, about 14 miles to Little Harbor Campground where we'll spend 2 nights. Sunday: Hiking and exploring at your leisure Monday: We'll paddle about 16 miles back to Avalon where our power boat will pick us up for the return home.
