REGISTRATION FORM FOR 2011

We offer a flexible registration so you can get what you want from this event! Food concessions and a market are available on-site, however a packed lunch is a good idea as we tend to overwhelm the concessions staff. Non-paddling members of the family are welcome to camp with us and explore all that San Diego has to offer.

Please note that while on-site registration is possible, on-water class sizes are limited to 10 participants or fewer and many will fill well before the event! Register early to guarantee space on the classes you want! (Note: kayaks will be provided for on-water classes if you don't have your own for a small fee).

FEES:

Campland charges a $7/day "day use" fee/car and is collected by Campland at the gate. You can park outside the park to avoid this if you want. This does not apply to those camping.

Event entry (good for both days): $10. Your entry fee allows you full access to demo kayaks and gear, plus product presentations from dozens of manufacturers and to all "tent talks". Please see the schedule to find out what you can learn! Kids under 12 are free with a paid adult!

On-water instructional clinics: $35/class ($45 if you do not have your own kayak). For novices to advanced paddlers who would like to explore the many facets and opportunities kayaking offers. These classes are 2 hours long and are taught by some of the best paddlers and coaches in the world. Please visit the schedule to plan your days and register for your classes! For those new to kayaking, there is a free orientation at the San Diego Kayak Club booth. For newcomers, we also recommend "Foundation Skills" (take this one first!), and "Basic Capsize Recovery". We HIGHLY recommend taking no more than 2 classes per day!!!!!

Fees for full day courses vary (see schedule).

Event party Saturday night: Music & entertainment around the bonfire is FREE. Please note that we will NOT be hosting a dinner this year!

T-shirts: Event T-shirts are $10 each if purchased with your advance registration, and $15 at the event. Ask anyone who participated last year and they'll tell you they still wear their T-shirt regularly! Buy in advance if you want one - I'm not good at guessing and we sometimes run out!

Camping: Special rates are available if booked in advance with your symposium registration. Tent or RV sites are available for $95 for both Friday and Saturday nights for up to 4 people, with parking for 2 vehicles. Additional people are $10 for both nights. Dogs are welcome on leashes (but not on the beach) and campland charges $6/dog. If you would like to share a campsite, please try to arrange this on your own, but we can assist if you are 1 or 2 people with a single tent. Please read the rules regarding camping on the registration form and at www.campland.com to be sure we comply with their regulations are maintain our welcome! If you would like to book Thursday night and/or Sunday, please let us know!
