An island sea kayaking getaway in a weekend! Just a few miles from the bustling city of Ensenada, and 2 1/2 hours south of San Diego, these desert islands feel surprisingly remote. We'll set up camp in a hidden cove and get acquainted with the island's harbor seals. The crystal clear water is full of colorful marine life and the coastline is a fascinating maze of rock formations which we'll explore if conditions permit. The price of your trip includes 3 days of guided kayaking and instruction, kayaking equipment, and all camp meals.
Every January we make a special Todos Santos journey that corresponds with the gray whale migration. We'll watch whale spouts while enjoying morning coffee, then get out and paddle with the majestic creatures on their way south!
We'll meet at Aqua Adventures for the trip down to Baja, leaving the evening before the trip begins. We'll be carpooling and driving in convoy. We'll camp the first night on the beach at Campo La Jolla in Punta Banda where we will launch early in the morning and paddle 8 miles to the islands. After lunch, we'll set up camp and spend the next 2 days exploring by foot and kayak. On day 3, we'll break camp and head back to the mainland. We'll plan to be back in San Diego by 7 or 8 pm.
