Halloween Costume Paddle
presented by San Diego Paddlers
Join the San Diego Paddlers family as we embark on our spookiest night paddle yet into the dark waters of Mission Bay! Paddlers are welcomed to come in their favorite costumes, water appropriate of course, as we take over the night. If you have a paddle craft, whether it’s a kayak, stand up paddle board, canoe or rowboat, you’re invited to join this free community event. Rentals are available and provided by Aqua Adventures!
Paddlers of all skill levels are welcome! We provide a safe and fun environment where all paddlers can enjoy the trip at their own pace and level in a group environment. So invite a friend and introduce them to the lifestyle! If you have your own equipment there is NO fee to join.
We will be on the water for approximately 2 hours and will be launching from Aqua Adventures Kayaks & Paddleboards. There is plenty of free parking available. The actual course for this trip will be determined on the day of event based on weather conditions. Paddlers of all skill levels are welcome. We provide a safe and fun environment where all paddlers can enjoy the trip at their own pace and level, within a group environment.
This event is open to all paddle craft. Whether you have a SUP, kayak, surfski or outrigger – all paddlers are welcome! Paddles hit the water at 4:30 pm so please make sure to arrive early.
There are stand up paddleboards and kayaks available to rent with Aqua Adventures for those who do not have their own equipment to bring on this trip. So invite a friend and introduce them to the lifestyle. PFD’s are provided with vessel rental. Rentals include kayak or paddle board, coordinating paddle, leash, and PFD’s. Equipment is limited and fill fast, so reserve before you miss out.
• What to bring
Make sure to bring warm attire in case it gets chilly out there, water, headlamp, and if you are bringing your own equipment do not forget your PFD.
• Important to know
Please try to arrive 15-30 minutes early to set up and be ready to launch by 4:30 pm.
If you are a new paddler please show up at least 45 minutes early for a brief lesson. Boards hit the water at 4:30 pm so please arrive early.
