Benefiting San Diego State University’s Aztec Adaptive Sports Program

Bonita Cove in Mission Bay, San Diego, California
Burn off that pumpkin pie and come paddle at the SoCal Turkey Paddle featuring 2 courses to choose from: 5k race and a relay race. Whether you want to paddle for fun or paddle your tail off on either of the 2 courses, everyone will have a blast! This after Thanksgiving event is not only fun, but all proceeds benefit the San Diego State University’s Aztec Adaptive Sports Program.

Water Craft: SUP, Kayak
Presented by: BOTE San Diego, Aqua Adventures, Essential Wellness, Wellness Lounge Mission Bay, San Diego Paddlers, Hanger
Activities include:
· Relay Races: The 4-person Relay is your chance to join up with 3 other people to make a team. Members of each team will paddle a 50 meter distance while carrying a beach ball on the board/kayak before passing it onto the next paddler. The team with the fastest time wins!
· 5k Course: This 3 Mile race consist of Paddlers navigating through Bonita Cover, two laps around a series of buoys, then sprint back to the beach for a finish.

The mission of the San Diego State University Aztec Adaptive Sports program is to support the university in providing a balanced, high-quality, inclusive education to athletes of all physical abilities, while enhancing the campus climate and culture. By creating the first collegiate-level adaptive sports program in California, they aim to develop adaptive student athletes to their highest potential and better represent our community, alumni and partners with excellence and distinction.
