The Summer may be over and the days are getting shorter. But, it’s still kayaking weather in San Diego. The bay is calm and beautiful. So come on out and let’s paddle. No kayak? We’ll be meeting at Aqua Adventures. As always it’s free to attend and $15 will rent you a kayak, paddle, and PFD (personal flotation device) if needed.

Beginners are welcome.

You are responsible to bring your own light (flashlight, headlamp, or boat light). You should also wear appropriate clothing. Recommended clothing is made of synthetic fiber. That would be polyester, nylon, spandex, or wool. Cotton is strongly discouraged. When cotton gets wet it can rob your body of heat, and has the potential to put you at risk for hypothermia.

If you bring your own kayak and gear, this is FREE.

Let’s try to meet around 5:30 so that we can be ready to head out at 6:00. The round trip should be approximately 4 miles. We’ll be moving at an easy pace somewhere between 2 to 3 mph.wed
