Your Typical Day? Come to our Mission Bay shop to take out a kayak/paddleboard tour of Mission Bay, help assist rental customers get on and off the water, help out on the sales floor/front desk, or at out our Mission Beach location serving customers with beachside rentals.

- Dock Operators (Dock rental operations).
Job Description
Aqua Adventures, Inc. is hiring operations staff to function as helping hands for dock operations and around the shop for 2021 season. This is a fun, physical job that is very fast paced; the majority of working hours will be spent on the dock helping kayak/stand up paddleboard clients launch in and out of the water.
Job Duties: Assisting tour & rental participants on the dock; reviewing the water map with rental customers; assisting customers coming in to the dock and with returns; cleaning paddles, lifejackets, sanitizing; mopping floor, opening/closing janitorial & shop duties; getting shop prepared for open and/or close; following directions of the dock managers in order to strictly adhere to boating safety regulations; providing basic customer service/FAQs to guests while on the dock; driving boats to deliver equipment; basic equipment repairs; providing assistance to customers with special needs. Being able to drive the company vehicles safely and legally is required for this position.

This is a fun, physical job that is very fast paced; the majority of working hours will be spent on the beach helping rental clients with beach rentals and launching watersports rentals in and out of the water.Job Duties: Getting rental participants out on the beach; reviewing the water with rental customers; assisting customers coming in through the surf and with paddleboard returns; cleaning wetsuits, beach chairs, tables; setting up/breaking down beach chair/umbrella rentals; getting beach prepared for open and/or close; following directions of the beach managers in order to strictly adhere to beach regulations; loading/unloading watersports rentals onto beach; providing basic customer service/FAQs to guests while on the beach; efficiently and effectively operate POS system, phone sales, phone customer service, sell walk-up customers, check-in reservations; manage rentals, basic equipment repairs; providing assistance to customers with special needs.

Tours Guides, Sales Representatives, and Dock Staff Aqua Adventures, Inc. is an award-winning tourism company providing travelers with unique experiences in the Mission Bay area. Our tailored lessons/tours offer amazing insights to the history of San Diego while exploring the stunning Mission Bay Ecological Reserve in kayaks or stand up paddleboards.We are currently looking for tour guides and dock staff to join our team of professionals. You will be highly energetic with a strong sense of adventure and a sound knowledge of the area. A high level of communication, time management and problem-solving skills are a must.
Job Positions Responsibilities:
Tour Guide:
Guiding guests throughout the Ecological Reserve by kayak or stand up paddleboard
Providing engaging information on the history, geography, culture, and marine biology of Mission Bay
Applying environmental and remote safety standards throughout tours
Maintaining gear
Some guide experience is recommended, though training will be provided
Requirements
Duties: Safely guide enjoyable kayak and stand up paddleboard tours (2-3 tours daily) with an emphasis on customer enjoyment, safety, relevant and thorough dialogue, and adapt to the day’s conditions/customer pool. Lead guides will assist with launching/recovering kayaks, stand up paddleboards and other equipment, phone duties, occasionally driving company vehicles including boats to deliver equipment. Being able to drive the company vehicles safely and legally is required for this position.
Prerequisites: California Driver’s License (and good driving record)
Certification Prerequisites: Current, valid CPR for the Professional Rescuer certification and First Aid certification (both issued by American Red Cross). If hired, you must have these before first day of work in order to start training. You cannot start working without these two certifications.
Certifications to be successfully obtained within 30 days of hire: American Canoe Association (ACA) Kayak/SUP Instructor Certification, British Canoe Union (BCU) star award, World Paddle Association (WPA) Certification, or International Surfing Association (ISA) (we will assist you with scheduling one of these, applicants are expected to complete these on your own personal time as they are required for the position.)
Qualified Applicants should have full availability. Part time applicants may have part time availability initially, but must have full availability during Summer (from approx. May 28 through Labor Day Weekend including Monday, Labor Day).

We are hiring for several positions available now and we are interviewing/training now for positions available in May for the Summer season. Work in a fun, energetic environment at the beach!Qualified Applicants should have full availability. Part time applicants may have part time availability from now until May, but must have full availability during Summer (from approx. May 15 through Labor Day Weekend including Monday of Labor Day).

25-40+ hours weekly (full time hours available during summer, including OT hours)

Duties: Perform Clerk/Cashier duties, happily meet & greet customers, efficiently and effectively operate POS system, phone sales, phone customer service, sell walk-in customers, up-sell retail items, check-in reservations, manage rentals, watersports rental/delivery reservations, redeem coupons/discounts.
- Youth Camp Counselor
Job Description:
Under the supervision of the Youth Programs and Director of Operations, camp counselors will teach and supervise activities for youth ages 6-17 in an aquatic environment. Counselors are responsible for all aspects of youth programs operations including, but not limited to: supervising and ensuring the safety of campers, teaching and operating watersports activities, setting up and cleaning up equipment, and providing outstanding customer service. Youth program activities occur both on land and on/in the water. The primary work will occur during summer, however, youth programming occurs in spring and fall seasons as well.
